I was really fond of the first HTC One (later dubbed M7) when it came in 2013. I liked the M8 even more when it was released a year later in spring 2014. It was no surprise when HTC again kept the original design (although tweaked) with the new M9. I’m not sure if I like the gold on silver look. I tend to like the darker versions more. In this case: Gun Metal Grey.

Seems all the complaining about the ultrapixel camera finally reached HTC’s ears, as the main camera now is 20 megapixels. The ultrapixel camera still exists though. It’s moved to the front as the “selfie-cam”. Of course the BoomSound speakers are present (one speaker above the screen and one below, claiming to give stereo when watching videos in landscape). They play noticeably larger than other phones without sounding distorted.
